Car DVD player....?

Just had Invision DVD System installed in my tahoe, when the surround sound is on I can hear a whistle coming from the speakers every time the gas is pressed, everytime it accelerates.... what could cause this? Any suggestions?

  2. It is probably not grounded well. Take it back.

It's called noise, or signal interference.  Check with the place that you had it installed and tell them about the situation.  Usually they will install a noise suppressor.  Essentially what is happening is your alternator is feeding magnetically charged power into the DVD player, which crops up in the audio system as static-or the whistle noise that you are hearing.  It used to be a huge problem in car audio.  Good Luck
