The engine of a sports car rotates at 5,000 revolutions per minute (rpm). Calculate the angular speed of the engine in radians per second. Use 2p radians = 1 revolution.

  1. forgive me if i'm missing something but:

    5000rpm means it rotates 5000 time per minute

    divide that by 60 to get revolutions per second, which is 83.333

    and multiply that by 2 as there are 2pi radians per revolution

    so the answer would be 166.666 or 166 2/3 pi radians per second

    or 30,000 degrees per second
