Car Hire - United Kingdom?

Question

Do you know any car hire centres, preferably in the UK, although most are worldwide anyway, that will not have the 21 or 25 years of age restriction.

Cars to hire at the age of 17 or 18 ?

Can you reccomend any ?

I have myself searched for this but there is absolutely no one who hires to under 21's.

I don't know of any, but if it makes you feel any better my wife was refused a courtesy car after a company van smashed into her car as she had only been driving for 18 months, she was 36 at the time.

There's a car share company called WhizzGo that may be worth looking at. They do allow 18 year olds to join, but they do not cover the whole UK so may be of limited use to you.

I have hired literally hundreds of cars in UK for business trips and have never come across a hirer that would hire to a 17 or 18 year old. ( You will appreciate that a 17 year old is legally a Minor.)
