  1. There are plenty like them, but they only compare prices - and only for a limited number of companies.  Insurance companies generally do their best to avoid paying claims - but the one with the little telephone on wheels has raised it to an art form.

  2. www.gocomapare.com

  3. You raise a good point. Too often we get caught up in comparing prices, but we don't have good information on the quality of the claims service. Claims service is what we're paying for, after all.

J.D. Power does extensive studies on the insurance industry every year. The insurance executives use the detailed reports (hundreds of pages!) to learn what customers think of their service. They use the results to try to improve in the areas where they score low. You can see the summary results at:

You know the saying, "You get what you pay for." It applies to insurance more often than not. The most important thing is to have good coverage. First narrowed down your list of companies to those that provide good claims service. Then comparison shop your short list to get the best value.

    I hope this helps!

  4. yes i agree with you and confused.com and other like it does not even do what they claim to do, you can get insurance cheaper if you look around yourself confused.com only lists the company's willing to pay them.

  5. they all do the same job and all use the same search engines. some may ask diff companies but there won't be many between them.

I tend to use moneysupermarket and confused and then compare between the two. I've found car insurance and travel insurance cheaper on MS and house insurance on C.

I do agree that there should be a rating for each firm you choose but they don't. I think Uswitch are good for offering ratings and they are now branching out to provide comparisons for more things. Try them they are good.

  6. Yes, you guys are quite right. But not all we can call "confused.com".  Auto Insurance sector is growing at higher pace and companies are doing their level best to bring clients absolute quality.
