Car Insurance Write-Off Question__________PLEASE HELP?

hello, i'm currently 19 and have third party comprehensive insurance, i currently pay £1800 per year due to my age.

How much would the premuim go up if either me or my father had a crash???????

note:my father is the main owner, and has protected no-claims over 9 year. I currently have no no-cliams build up as i have only recently become insured

  1. For automobile insurance the most efficient way to get a low rate is do a policy comparison on auto policies. Make sure that you choose similar policies with the same deductibles, car type, zip code, etc so that all things are a good comparison.



    What I always recommend is an internet comparison quote at http://www.InsureAutoNow.info since they have discount insurers and can give several prices on car insurance polices.


  2. As your father has protected no claims bonus, your bonus will not be affected. However, your insurer may increase your premium due to you making a claim. There is no set amount they increase it by, so I cannot tell you how much it will go up by as each insurer has differnt ways of rating customers and different underwriting guidelines, but to give you a rough idea, the company I work for would increase your premium by 10% if it is your first and only claim.
