  1. At 16 you can't legally enter into a financial agreement, which is what insurance is.  You will have to be added to your parent's policy, and since none of us know what company carries their policy, we can't guess what the cost is going to be.  Have mom or dad call the agent and ask.

  2. There isn't necessarily a "cheapest" company.  You need to find what fits best for you.  In your case I would probably decide what the value of the truck is and act accordingly.  If the value is minimal, don't over insure.  It may not be worth it in the long run.

Check out this site, it has some tips to keep your insurance costs down regardless of your provider of choice.  Use the resources on the site to get specific quotes.

  3. there is no a easy solution for your question.however,it is not solvable though.here is the good resource i have been referring.http://car-insurance.online-tips.info/ca...

  4. For auto insurance the best way to get a very good rate is do a policy comparison on car policies. Make certain that you choose similar policies with the same deductibles, car make, location, etc so that all options are an accurate comparison.

What I usually recommend is an online comparison quote at http://www.InsureAutoNow.info since they have top name insurers and can give multiple quotes on auto insurance polices.

  5. See this http://gsx1.com/InsuranceComparison.html take the quote, they'll come back with prices from different insurers in your area. It's very quick and free of charge.

But to find a cheap price you should get several quotes, do some legwork till something better will come along.

  6. Since you have an older car I would recommend just getting liability insurance.  Check this site out http://www.ez-insurancesearch.com they'll have some great info and they'll offer you quotes from some of the top providers in your area. Good Luck!

  7. You most certainly can get insurance on your own.  But, I guess that may vary by state.  I know in PA, you can get insurance if you have a license - it is a kind of exception to the rule.  Since the state allows you to register a car, but, requires financial responsibility (insurance) be carried, a minor with a license can enter into an insurance policy.  Cheapest would probably be on your parents policy, or at least with the same company on your own policy, as a lot of companies will still offer multi-car discounts if you are related.  Call around for quotes - no one on here can give you an accurate answer - especially since we don't even know where you are.  One company I will tell you to definitely check with is State Farm - they offer a number of discounts for young drivers that can really reduce the premium.

  8. You and your parents will need to weigh the costs and benefits of several companies to get the best rate.  No company offers the cheapest rate for each and every person out there.

The site below includes a list of major auto insurance companies, along with details on which states they serve and which types of discounts they offer.  It may be helpful for your and your parents when you're deciding where to get quotes:

  9. Cheapest would be to be added to yoru parents policy with liability only on your truck.

  10. at 16 your going to have to get put on your parents or guardians policy. no insurance company will let you get your own and going on your parents policy is the cheapest route to go anyway.
