My car Radio is not starting. It displays: Loc

IMy Car is Geo Prizm 1997 1.6L.

I had loosened and again fixed my Battery negetive wire since I wanted to check how to remove the negetive wire as in the manual it is mentioned that if you are not driving the car for more than 25 days, you should remove the negetive battery wire. I am planning to go on vacation for 1 month or so, so I checked the Battery wire.

Does this has got anything to do with the Loc display?

How do I start the Radio now?

Thanks in Advance

  1. LOC indicates that the radios anti-theft feature has been activated. You, or a previous owner, enabled this feature by programing in a personal security code. You will need to enter the code in order to activate the radio.

  2. Look in the owners manual I also have a Prizm and I looked in mine and it is written in ink in the back of the manual I guess the dealership programmed it...if that doesnt work you will have to go to Chevrolet and pay 35.00 for them to unlock it.

  3. call 407-9331065 to get the radio code
