Car Remote - after market

I just bought a lexus GX470 a couple days ago. It came with an after market remote starter installed and only one remote (for the remote starter). The part number is 5BCR03B abd when I look it up - it seems to be a ELVNTRCA - whatever that means.

The problem is - the LCD unit on that is broken and so i cant see anything on the remote. The Lexus has its own sets of keys and keyless entry. When I just use the Lexus key - and open the door - the alarm goes off. I am forced to carry the remote starter keyring around and only use that to unlock the car! I am afraid one of these days the remote with the broken LCD wont work and I will have no way of opening my car without the alarm going off. I also dont want to carry the huge remote around all the time.

Question.

1. Can I disable the remote starter and the whole thing so I can just use the Lexus keys and keyless entry?

2. Does someone know if the remote car starter key/remote can be disable as an option and turned back on again when I need it?

Why not contact the company that made the system for a new remote?
