Question:

Car Seats Installed On Vehicle Front Seats.?

The wife and I were discussing about car seats. Is against the law to place a car seat on the front seat of a car? Most people place newborns rearward at the front seats to assist the child quicker. A 2 year old kid on a car seat, can travel on the front, facing the front of the vehicle? I say you can do that and is not against the law. She says it is against the law. We can not prove either one. Does anybody knows for sure and/or has a link where to find the info? We looked everywhere with no good results !!!

Thanks in advance!

  1. It is against the law in most places because most states require children to be in the backseat.  Also, if a state has a proper use clause (most do) then the seat must be in the backseat as stated in the manual.

  2. Try this site and I think it will help....
