Question:

Car Window Tint?

I am about to get my windows tinted tommorow or the next day and am confused about what % i should go on the darkness of the tint.

The legal % is 35 on the side windows and 20% on the back window. The lower the % the darker the tint.

I have a 99 Pure White camry and figured if i go the darkest all around it would siut well because i want the darkest legal tint avaliable.

With 35% on the side and 20% on the back, do you think it will look weird if i mix& mach them or will it blend in as the back window is far from the side windows, or should i go 35% all around.

What do you think?

How did you tint your car?

  1. if you want to keep it legal, just do 35% all around. I think that would look better than just having the rear dark. It would flow all the way around the car with 35% all the way around.

  2. I've got a white landcruiser and I just bit the bullit and went with 5%. Looks great and is dark, very dark.

  3. 35% on the front and 20% on the back will look weird. if u want to keep it legal then just do 35% all around. In my state the front has to be at 50% and the back has to 35% but I did mine at 20%. 20% is dark but u can still see inside. As long as they can see u inside then it should be a problem. I had mine for about 7 months now and I've never been pulled over or ticketed.
