Is there any way to like instantly know if an accident occurred?

Like say you hear an accident happen outside your house, but out of your sight. Is there like a number to call to find out where an accident occurred and what car/who was involved etc liek right on the spot? Like 5 minutes after the accident happened?

Try buying a CB Scanner and then you will find out first hand when anything around your house has happened. Those scanners can alert you to alot of things and don't cost lots of money.

No such device.     Until the accident is reported by someone else,   it will not be broadcast to law enforcement,   fire departments,   or ambulance.      No device will report an accident to any omnipotent database.  

In your question,  you "say you hear an.....".      It is up to you now to be the reporting party.    It is up to you to get off your backside  and see where the accident is,  notify the authorities,   and to administer any first aid that may be needed.     You are the nearest person not involved,    it may be you that is needed to save a life.

It you want to be right on top of all police matters, just by a police scanner but remember that in some states they are illegal in you car.....................
