Car accident. how much will my deductable go up?

i might need a new bumper. i was stopped in a parking lot going into first gear when this lady backed into my bumper. she claimed fault for it and i have a signed statement from her. i am 16 years old and i live in the state of Ohio. perfect record and no pasted accidents. will this make my insurance go up? and if so by how much?

  1. First off, you mean premium, not deductible. Secondly, if its not your fault, it won't go up.


  2. Assuming you are 100% NOT at fault, it shouldn't.

    What you'll need to do is call her insurance company and file a claim, and they will pay for it. Unless you use your own insurance, no deductible will need to be paid by you.

  3. No, your deductible will not go up unless you make a change to your policy.   Since you were not at fault for the accident, it is unlikely your insurance premium will go up.  File a claim against her insurance.  They will reimburse you for the damage to your vehicle.
