Car accident sue?

my sister was in a car accident as the passanger and she suffered a right arm paralysis (for 6 mos atleast)...the lawyer is insisting she sue her friend also who was driving the car...i know its not right and i dont want to do it but is she entitled to money from her friends car insurance without sueing the friend? and having her relationship suffer??

Nope.  Your sister would have to sue her friend in order to get the money, if the insurance company decides not to pay any injury claims. Of course, the insurance company would hire an attorney to defend the driver and thus pay any claims (up to the insured limit).

If she truly deserves the money due to the driver's wrongdoing, then the relationship shouldn't suffer.  If she doesn't deserve the money, than your sister wouldn't be a true friend if she pursues this further.

If her friend was insured, her insurance should pay for your sister's injuries.  If not, then, yes she should sue.

she would not be sueing the friend but the ins carrier her friend has.  i dont think the relationship should suffer but it probably will cause the friends ins will probably go up and she will blame that on her friend but if she does then she wasnt that good of a friend anyway...

The insurance company should pay all the doctor bills and pay for any lost work and pain and suffering. She don't have to sue her girlfriend just the insurance company

Why sue ??????

Just have the insurance company pay for her injuries and they will also compensate her something as well for what is has gone through, the reason that the lawyer wants you to sue is that way he or she will get a bigger payday, just think about it and you will know the right thing to do..

first of all she is not sueing her friend but her friends insurance co. yes she is entitled to damages as she was injured.
