Car air conditioning- over past 2 wks has started to blow "less than cool" air, lol, but only sometimes?

The air blows, but it feels warm instead of cool. It's happened a couple of times now, and I'm wondering what I should plan to have fixed and how much it's likely to cost me.:p

One of two things are going on,  One your refridgerant is running low or is old and needs refilled or replaced.  Two the compressor may be getting weak.  You can check this yourself if you have a bit of automotive know how.  Or your mechanic can check them fairly cheaply, however replacing an AC compressor tends to get expensive however if its just low on refridgerant you can usually get it charged for less than $50

Keep in mind that the hotter and more humid the outside air is, the less cold the a/c will be. Otherwise have the system checked for freon, leaks, and to make sure your high pressure cut off switch is working.
