Car audio cd player?

i put a alpine CD player in a 1995 nissan maxima and whan i wint to start the car it did not start it was like the battory was dead but i put a biferint battory in it started up then when i turned it off it did not start up agun then i un plnged in and pluged it in it started up do u no what it could be are if i did some thing bad in the wireing

sounds like you have a short some where, check to see if you have an exposed wire (you could also double check your power wires, make sure you don't have the constant/battery wire mixed up with the ignition power wire)
