Car audio experts please help.

Question

can some one help please. hey guys i got an old pyramid equalizer. it has 4 sets of rca connections, one of course to the subs. but it has only 3 wires. red, orange, and black. im pretty sure red is the 12v. black is groung, wats the orange. and were would i connect the remote wire comming from my amp. can anyone help.

the remote wire on your amp connects to the remote wire coming from your radio. the orange wire from the equalizer is the remote turn on too. u can split off the remote wire from your radio to the orange wire also.

not really sure of the orange ,,but use a test light to see if its switched power,,,wait let me check mine......mine is pink,,, so connect red and blk and test lite the orange ,,, sorry man thats all i got for U,,,

the black is ground the red is 12v and the orange is the ignition switch there should be like a blue wire comeing from the back for your remote if not get a test light and test some wires

The black is the ground.

The red and the orange are the constant and the switched 12 volt powers. You'll have to figure out which is which. I would venture a guess that the orange is the constant and the red is the switched.

As for the remote wire. You'll have to run it off of the switched 12 volt wire from the cd player. Since you're keeping the stock head unit.
