you have a metra type universal harness, all colors match but orange, do u just cap it? second, some autos don't have a ground in the harness, whats the best place to ground? third, what color tape do they put around air bag danger wires in the factory harness? fourth, will a 2ohm stereo amp run correctly in 2 ohm mono mode? fifth, what kind of amp draws more power, type D or a type A/B and whats the diff? sixth, bridging an amp combines the ? and ? stereo channels to one mono channel? dude, i'll hook you up with as many points as it takes to get this quik.

  1. 1.orange is just a illumination wire dont worry about it the newer aftermarket radios need this so yea just put black tape around it, its not need unless ur radio has the wire for it.

2.the ground wire can go were a s***w and metal are at. if you can buy a spade connector it will make it easier so that way it does not come unloose.

    3. for the air bag S**t i would not use tape man i would find some kind of heat shrink tubing or teflon tape if possible.

4.The stereo on 2ohm i wouldnt worry about that you will good either way.

5.a/b takes more power. class d takes more energy at one time so that way it will last and not stress your electric power from your car

Class A amplifiers are desirable for the high quality of their sound, but, because of the configuration of its transistors, a pure class A amplifier is inefficient and runs very hot. This is because even when there is no audio signal, the output transistor(s) always have current running through them. The current flowing through the output transistor(s) (with no audio signal) causes the amp to heat up unnecessarily, and "waste" input energy. Most car amplifiers that boast "Class A" circuitry are really Class A/Class AB hybrids

Class D amplifiers use output transistors as switches to control power distribution — the transistors "turn off" when there is too much voltage across them. Class D amps boast higher efficiency, produce less heat, and draw less current than traditional Class AB designs. Class D amplifiers produce higher distortion than AB designs due to the high-speed switching on and off of the transistors, but this distortion occurs at high frequencies that are typically removed by a low-pass filter.

    6. if you brigde the amp it will be A+ and B-. as far as connecting two subs to bridge to a mono amp refer to the wiring diagram

  2. you have a metra type universal harness, all colors match but orange, do u just cap it?

yes, cap it.  it's the dimmer switch for the deck, if your deck don't have it, cap it.

second, some autos don't have a ground in the harness, whats the best place to ground? any bare metal surface that you can put a s***w on, or any bare metal bolts that's inside the dash.

third, what color tape do they put around air bag danger wires in the factory harness?  YELLOW looms

fourth, will a 2ohm stereo amp run correctly in 2 ohm mono mode? no, it would run 4ohm stable min.

fifth, what kind of amp draws more power, type D or a type A/B and whats the diff?

class a/b has less efficiency so it draws more power when put out the same amount of power compare to class D.

it's different in many ways. class D is generally smaller than class A/B so it's easier to find a place to install in the car.  initially class D has worse sound quality  compare to class ab at higher frequency range ie. 200~20000hz.  so most class D amp is designed monoblock to power up subs only.  but now there are quite a bit of good class D amps that sometimes exceed class AB amps.

sixth, bridging an amp combines the ? and ? stereo channels to one mono channel?

normally you bridge it by connect + end to right channel +, and - to left channel -.  sometimes it's reversed.  the diagram on the amp at the speaker terminal will show.

dude, i'll hook you up with as many points as it takes to get this quik.

  3. orange is should be also along with yellow that is your remote.  you can ground your black to any metal surface of the car.  and the air bag i have no clue it depends on the car why would you be touching those any how those generally arent any thing near your stereo harness. the other questions i have no clue about lol sorry not an expert just a regular guy
