Car audio headunit install problem?

Head unit-Jensen vm9410

I recently purchased a in dash dvd player. I finally got around to installing it today. I matched up all of the wires on the player harness and the harness from the car. At first everything seemed alright when I was testing it out, the power button lit up red, and i pressed it. The display never kicked on and shortly after my head unit or one of the wires started to smoke. I disconnected the head unit and checked the fuse and it's not blown. Was wondering what could cause this?

You may have the acc power connected to the ground, and power to power..so you are feeding positive from both sides.
