Car audio help [subs amps etc...]?

okay few things im sorta new to this

what exactly do amplifiers does

and what is important about ohms

what is better [alpine type r,,,,,jbl p1's,,,,,rockford p1's]

what are some good amps with the most bang for the buck

i would go with rockford power they are defenty worth it. i would also go with the rockford amps. they are a little more pricy but they are worth it! amplifers, take the weak electrical signal from the head unit turn it into a stronger electrical signal and sends it to ur sub. it can also fase out the high frequincy(not sure how to spell that)and just alow the low frequincys anywhere from 28hz. to ?. im not so shure on what is so inportant about ohms! sorry cant help u with that.

go with a JL w7 with a 1000/1 mono block. that wat im bumpin in my car. or get the alpine type X thats the highest model out of the type E then R then the X . X is the best one. and then get a alpine amp thats 1000 and up.

ok chamsta.......the guy doesnt even no what an amplifier is and ur tellin him to get w7's or type X's, WTF?

Stick with rockford fosgate, there gonna give you the best quality and reliability.  Go with P1's if you want some bass, P2's if you want some good bass, go with P3's if you wanna really be heard.  Rockford makes the best amps on the market, and you get what you pay for.

An amp simple recieves a signal on the input sign and sends a larger more powerful signal out to your subs. Thats as simple as i can explain it.  With ohms the lower they are with the amp the more power the amp can push to your subs, but the amp and subs have to have the same ohm load.i would go with rockford all the way with a rockford or kicker amp...
