Our subs stopped hitting and my boyfriend found a popped fuse. He just went to Fry's and bought a pack of them. He's already popped two, and the subs aren't even in the trunk right now. He said he bought a four pack, and he's put two in. They immediatly blow... what's going on?

  1. You need to upgrade that fuse. If you bought them at Fryes, they are probably the glass tube fuses. Go to a audio shop and pick up a ANL fuse and holder, also make sure that the ANL that you swap out with will hold more amperage. The reason that you keep popping fuses is because the load required for the stereo equipment is more than that fuse can handle.

  2. you are having a short probably a positive cable from the amp is touching ground  if you have the amp on the trunk look if any wires are touching eachother or even the remote

  3. one of your wirers is lose prob happened to me a few time from that

  4. check al the wires ,and another possibility is the amp got too hot may have burned a circut in it ,if thats the case u will need to have it looked at,a bigger fuse may cause a fire! if all fails go to the local car audio shop and let them look at the amp.
