Car audio question: Looking for subwoofer and amp for '95 Civic, what to get?

I know nothing about this, so I need suggestions of what to get and what to look for.

I was told about bazookas? Are they as good as they sound/worth the extra money?

I don't want to keep the car I have forever, so I don't want to be ripping up the whole thing to take the subs and etc out later.

Also, is installing it easy enough to do it with some friends who already know something about it? Or is it just too much work and should I just hire someone to do it?

  2. It all depends on what ur looking for, whats ur budget is, and how u like your music??  Bazooka is good if your on a really tight budget and u just want some good lows to balance out your sound.  Now if your trying to impress, bazooka is not the way to go.  If you have some money to spend, then look into rockford or alpine cuz they make good solid subs that definitely will turn heads.  Subs shouldnt make u rip up your car at all, unless you wanna build some crazy custom box that involves altering your interior, but it doesnt sound like thats what u wanna do.  They can be easily transfered from one car to the next.  but i recommend not getting a large box cuz its not guaranteed itll fit in ur next car.  If your friends know "something" about installing, then id say give it a shot, but if you find yourself in a situation where your not sure or ur have no idea, dont guess, just talk to someone who really knows something or take it to a professional cuz u can destroy your equipment if you do it wrong.  feel free to email me with any questions
