  1. i have duals i use in competion and they cost me 150 at best buy  and a dual 580 watt amp if you want big boom get a ported bandpass box  and a bridgeable amp go to best buy or circuit city tell em your low on funds give your budget limit and they will help

  2. kickers!

    Save up, around $1000.

Never get car audio for Walmart!!!!!!!!!!

    Because they are cheap!

  3. If you want big bass i would seriously recommend waiting and saving up more money. Dual is one of the crappiest brands. you will be totally disappointed if you bought cheap audio.  My brother spent 100 dollars on an Amp and 100 dollars on 2 10 inch subs. and 30 dollars for wiring and a 50 dollar box. He was VERY disappointed and returned everything!  I got credit at a local car audio shop and got me 2 12 inch Alpine subs and a 500 dollar alpine amp with a wiring kit that cost $150 and i am not disappointed at all!. you need thick wiring for amps and thick wiring is expensive if you dont use thick wiring your amp will sound like c**p!    So you should get some credit at an audio shop or shop ebay they sell expensive audio equipment for cheap!  Make sure you buy new stuff tho nothing used!!

  4. when it comes to car audio nine times out of ten you get what you pay for- and you need to look for CEA-compliant brands which means that the amps have been tested and produce or exceed the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion and the subs can handle their advertised RMS wattage also (distortion is the main cause of speaker damage)

here are the top CEA-compliant brands

    Alpine (highly recommend)

    Bazooka (don't like their subs)

    Blaupunkt (don't like their subs)

    Clarion

    Eclipse

    Infinity (highly recommend)

    JBL

JL Audio (very good but over priced)

    JVC

    Kenwood (don't like their subs)

Kicker (the best in my opinion)

    MTX (highly recommend)

    Pioneer

    Polk Audio (highly recommend)

    PPI

    Rockford Fosgate (highly recommend)

    Sony (don't like their subs)

you want at least 400watts RMS if you are serious

here is a nice set of subs and a couple amps that would match up with them for about $400 and has 600watts RSM total

these subs http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3867... with this amp http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8651... or this amp http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5027...

for the best sound quality you should look into an aftermarket radio for more system adjustments

  5. these are awesome subs
