And an after market pioneer deck. I have a capacitor but i still have a problem that if i run the system to much it will drain and the car will not idle correctly and will stall when i dont give it gas. I know its the electricy but im not sure what i can do to fix it. any help? oh and if i run for a few hours with no system running at all it will correct it self.

  1. maybe you need an alternator with a higher amp output.

  2. go to auto zopne and have ur alt and batt tested this is free if all is good you might want to consider going to an extra battery with a 21 amp set up you are just draining that cap they make batterys for car audio  but if you want to go cheap you can get a sealed marine battery at wally world for bout 59 bucks hope this helps

  3. Your system is exceeding the power output of the alternator so the battery begins to discharge and it is the general under volt that causes your car to miss and stall.

The solution is get a bigger alternator or smaller sound system, it's as simple as that.

A word of warning, don't be tempted to put in a bigger battery it will overload the alternator even more. If you put in a high output alternator you will have to upgrade the fusible links.
