Car battery, shall it be changed?

Car, 8 years old, original battery. No issues with the car or the battery. Shall I replace the battery or wait until it is dead?

  1. Replace it. Get a gel battery. They are the best and will last longer than acid batteries...as well as provide more power.  


  2. i thin if it was me id change it,normal life of any battery is about 6-7 years,so you have done extremely good on this one,if you wait for it to go out it will cost you a lot more than replacing it now will,it may leave you stranded somewhere,and cost you a tow bill on top of replacing the battery,good luck.

  3. replace the battery depending on your cca rating and look of the battery id go interstate or die hard

  4. yes good preventive maint. if you live in cold climate, it will be dead come dec anyway., if not sooner.
