Car battery is there a converter that will convert 12v into 120v ?

I assume you mean to 120 VAC. If this is the case, then you are looking for an inverter, available at parts stores, Wal-Mart, etc.

Yes, it's called an inverter and it's available at any auto parts department including Wal Mart.

The more watts you want out of one, the more you'll have to pay for it.  If you're just powering a laptop, you won't be paying much, $15 maybe.

The higher the wattage, the quicker they drain your car battery.  You wouldn't believe how quickly your car battery can get drained so exercise caution.

You need a "POWER INVERTER' all  auto part stores sell them. I looked at some at WAL-MART yesterday. YOU have to decide on the things you plan to use and make sure the inverter has the capacity to carry that load.{WATTS} Just tell the salesman what you plan to run and he should be able to accommodate you. Keep in touch,and enjoy your youth!
