My battery keeps on dying every couple days I drive my car. This is the second battery I replace on my car in one week so I know that it isn’t the battery. The battery will be fine for a few days then when I drive it with my lights on the battery signal will turn on and my head lights and as well as my rear lights will get real dim, then when I stop the car it will not turn on anymore. I had the alternator changed two years ago, and had this problem surface last week. I had the alternator checked by a mechanic while it was on and off and he stated that the alternator is work working perfectly. The mechanic also suggested that it could be my trunk light and suggested that I removed it. I also practiced the method of where I will open the trunk after 15 minuets while has been sitting there parked and open the trunk and feel the light and is not warm or hot. Can anybody tell me what might be wrong? Thanks!

  1. HI

It sounds like the alternator isn't charging the system? (if its working like the mech said) since it does it while you are driving the car. I'd take the car to one of those parts houses and have them check it on the car. They well do this for free. (auto zone , schucks etc.).

    good luck
