My children have got on top of two of our cars so much that they have caused the ceiling carpet to separate from its backing, and now it hangs in some spots, like right above the driver's seat. Is there any do-it-yourself to fix this condition?

  1. you have to take the board out of the car and clean all the old foam from it that's under the old headliner,i have done a lot of these, then you have to re-glue a new piece of material back up on it with contact adhesive ,you have to use the spray type 3m super 77 works really well on this, then reinstall the board back up ,it will take several hours to do this and do it right, but once its done it will last for many years to come, its not as hard as it seems to do,but it is time consuming, good luck with it.

  2. replace ceiling carpet with headliner and you'll find what you're looking for. read plenty of different guides if you're going to do it yourself, there are plenty of ways to s***w it up. i used pins to hold up the old fabric for a few weeks before i fixed it in my first car.

  3. Go to any auto parts store they have a DIY kit for this problem.........
