Car dealership and buying cars with cash

Question

I would like to know if you are looking for a car that is little shy of 20,000 but if you have cash of $10,000 - 15,000 would a dealership give you about $5-7,000 discount from the sticker price what kind of information can you provide?

if they know you have the $$, they wont.  dont let them know until the very end!

make it look like your not that interested, get up even. they'll stop you and say, well....lets see what we can do.

they wont give you that discount.

You're going to get a "discount" at any rate, and truthfully the offer of cash isn't a big thing with the dealer.  All that's cared about is the loan on the car being a safe one.

No. First unless luxury hard to find cars they make maybe tops 2-3000 on new cars.  Cash will not help as they would rather you finance.  Offer 5-7000 under MSRP and they would say thank you but we are looking at wrong car. They would rather have a customer that is realistic and knowledgeable then someone who does not know what a cars invoice is.
