  1. any thing toyta or german but alot on gas

  2. Vibes are awesome

But if your rich get a prius you look g*y but they get like 48 mpg

  3. ...

  4. toyota corolla...it will last you forever!

  5. civic

  6. a good old fiesta or french brand car like peugot citroen or renault

  7. get a hybrid!!!!!!!

  8. A Vibe.   Roomy, good gas, good looking too.

  9. A Ford Mustang GT, oh yeahhh

  10. Chevrolet Aveo

  11. HUMMER

  12. The best cars, though they're not generally considered "cute", would be something like a 88-92 Chevy Celebrity/Pontiac 6000/Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. All are the same car, just with different badging. If you get the 4-cylinder, they're good on gas, really reliable, and easy and cheap to fix.

If you want something better looking, anything american with a small or medium 4-cylinder would work. American cars are really cheap and easy to fix. A lot of things you can do yourself with a Haynes manual and parts you find in a junk yard. Remember, anything newer has more things to break. If you want something from after the 80's, a perfect car would be something like a Chevy Malibu or a Dodge Stratus.

  13. Toyota Corrolla they are great on gas, 37-40mpg on the freeway, and they will last over 200k miles if you do all the maintenance

  14. Honda civic and Toyota prius are very good on gas. actually, these are the top 2 on the charts. the prius might be expensive but the civic is pretty economical and GREAT on gas. BE SAFE!

  15. If you're looking for new or used, I'd stick with a compact Japanese car. My preferences would be either a Nissan Sentra or a Toyota Corolla. They're both well-built, get very good average mileage (close to 30 in everyday driving), and seat four in decent comfort.

Personally, I would not buy anything from Korea and would stay away from most American compact cars. A used Ford Focus is one to buy if a Sentra or Corolla is out of your price range. It gets decent mileage, but is still a Ford. I've had awful experiences in Fords. By the way, the Chevy Aveo is a cheaply-built, tinny piece of s***.

If you want to buy new, the Honda Fit is within your price range, is well built, and gets good mileage. Problem is that all the amenities cost a lot more. A Nissan Versa is also a good selection, well built, good mileage, good standard features.

I'm sorry, but I did get a bit of snicker when you mentioned that you were willing to go all the way back to '99. To me, late 90s cars are still new. I got my license in 1977. My weekend knockaround car is an '82 280ZX (and nooooooo, never for sale).

  16. Hyndai cars are great on gas and cheap plus come with a great warranty if you get it new.  You can buy a Hyndai Accent brand new for about 9grand.

  17. My cousin got a kia on her 16th birthday and it has excellent gas mileage and is cheap to fill up.  It is a good little car for a young driver and cute.

  18. Mk3 1998 Suzuki Swift GTI.

1.3L Twin cam, 16v DOHC, Fuel Injected

These are very cheap so you wont cry if you crash it or knock it.

The parts are available cheaply everywhere.

They look sporty and can beat some v8s with a few modifications.

They also get about 400-450km per tank of fuel depending on its state of repair and your driving style.

Small for easy parking and excellent view from the drivers seat.

  19. Older car, a Cavalier, PT. Cruiser, Focus.. You can get all of those at a good price..  I bought a PT it is an ugly little thing but I get almost 30 hwy 20 and up city and paid 9,500 with 25,000 miles on it I have over 50,000 and still runs great

  20. Volkswaggon is a good brand. Nissan, Honda, and Toyota are very good brands. they are very good on gas.

  21. A Toyota Corolla (my first car!)

    A Honda Civic

  22. Go for a Honda Civic, we just bought my brother one for the same thing as you, going to work, school and coming back home again. Go look at the 2001-2003 Honda Civics. You can get a nice one for about $8,000. They get 29 city and 36 hwy, which is about 32 mpg average. My brother gets about 34 mpg in his driving around. He fills up gas once every 1.5 weeks. It would make a great car for you, its safe also. Another great thing is that insurance really isn't that bad on it, its pretty cheap since its a economy car, but it doesn't feel slow or anything to drive. Go take a look at one,  and you'll probably end up liking it. If $8k+ is too much for you, you can always look at a older one, you can find those for about $4-5k. I like the 01-03 Civic coupes, they look great.  Good luck buying a new car!

  23. My little sister has a Ford Tarus... or whatever... I personally don't care to much for the bodystyle but its great on gas and it's one of the safest cars out there. And you can usually get them for a lot cheaper than anything else the same year model!

  24. Honda Fit is 34 mpg for 13k... they look funny though. I would say VW Rabbit, really cute and "hip" car for the youngns' with about 22/29 mpg for 15k. If these don't fit you, make sure it's something you REALLY love.

  25. A bycicle! Gas, enviroment and you friendly! Great health benefits, cheap and no gas!

  26. Someone asked this same question 2 weeks ago on "Car Talk". They recommended a Ford Focus for several reasons: great on gas, not too expensive, very little upkeep,  they seem to be very durable.  If you search around, you could probably get a good deal on a used one. Depending on how far away school, work, and home are, you might be able to go 2 weeks without having to fill up!

Also, if you needed more of an SUV they recommended a Pontiac Vibe for most of the same reasons above but it would obviously suck more gas!

    Good luck!

  27. I have a 2003 Ford Escort ZX2 and it's affordable and great on gas! I drive 25 miles a day for work and I only fill up once every week and a half. That includes running around after work and on the weekends. It's a fun car to drive too! Right now it costs me about $40 to fill it up if my gas light comes on.

  28. try a mazda3 there real good on gas and its small for a teenage(not to small and dere cute).....thats the car im gettin.......go to mazdausa.com for other mazda cars

  29. Toyota Corolla, good economy car.
