its coming out in a steady stream right below the cap, its basically the part that the cap screws on to. is there a hole there on purpose to allow hot coolant out or is this a leak? its not a pipe its more the casing.

  1. take the cap off and solder around the neck. the solder is probably broke around the neck or the radiator cap not holding the pressure.

  2. The radiator cap is worn out and needs replacing.

  3. You need a new cap. It's not sealing and maintaining pressure, which causes the overheating.

  4. Several things are wrong... the neck of your radiator is bad. the line to the overflow is bad, and your thermostat is locked. The bad thermostat is what's cause the overheating because it isn't allowing coolant into the motor. Unhook the line from your overflow and make sure it is clear on both ends. then replace your thermostat. The neck can be fixed by soldering it like one other person said. That is unless you have $$ for a new radiator.

  5. HA neither of those is right sounds like the tube that is supposed to go to your overflow tank has broken off. should be a plastic fitting that comes out just below cap that has rubber hose attached to it, this goes to overflow resevouir so that as water expands and contracts water has somewhere to go and return to radiator from. if this is broken off you will need a new radiator as there is no good repair for this problem.

  6. go to the parts store and buy a new radiator cap.
