  1. velocity and acceleration are a derative of speed these are a instantaneous relationship, (it varies all the time and can only be assessed using calculus) speed is distance against time, as in 30 miles in an hour, velocity is a deviation from this i;e feet a second, and acceleration is a deviation in feet a second from velocity, 60 mph is 88 feet per second, light travels at 186,000 miles a second, it would be incorrect to quote your example as accelerating at 11 feet a second, as gear changing and varying power would invalidate this, Newtons equation a = v -u/t can be rearranged to give t = v - u/a  982.08 million feet a sec - 0/11feet a sec gives 89.28 million seconds gives 1.488 million minutes gives 28.9 thousand hours gives 1033.3 thousand days which is about 2.831 years.

  2. The car is gaining 7.5 miles per hour each second.

The speed of light is about 670,616,629.4 miles per hour.

    670,616,629.4 / 7.5 = approximately 89415550.58 seconds or 1490259.176 minutes or 24837.65 hours or 1034.9 days or approximately 2.8 years.

The car will reach the speed of light in a little less than 3 years.

  3. 60 what?

    metres/second

    miles/hour

    kilometres/hour

    cubits/jiffy

    ??

  4. in MPH speed of light =670,616,629 mph

so divide that by 60 mph will give you your answer,
