When ever driving my 1995 Nissan Maxima, I have to hold the wheel about 10 degree to the right in order for the car to go straight. If I put the wheel straight goes to the left. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

  1. You need a front end alignment. You also probably have some front end parts bad. Take it in for an alignment but 9 times out of 10 parts are bad. Good luck.

  2. Have a front end alignment done

  3. Why is it happening?  It's because your front wheels (at least) are not facing the road the way Nissan intended.  These are almost always problems with toe, caster or camber (different 3-d ways your tires interact with the road).

The fix, unfortunately, is to take the car to a tire shop.  Many tire shops are ripoff artists - they will try to get you in with a lowball estimate, and then try to sell you extras.  With this car, I think you should call around and get a price for a 2-wheel front end alignment - NOT a 4 wheel alignment.

    Best of luck.

  4. you need a 4 wheel alignment and usually costs under $100.

  5. This could be as simple as low or uneven tire pressure.  Check all four tires, inflate to proper specifications and try it out.  If that does not correct the problem its time to have the front end alignment checked out.  You could also have a brake dragging on the left side, causing the car to pull to the left.

  6. all 4 wheels needs aligned. the back is probably off too as well as the front.

  7. you will require 4 wheel align .
