  1. have you checked the battery?

  2. check your fuel filter it could be clogged check your catyletic convertor it could also be clogged if those are good then check your distributor cap sometimes those will go bad and check your spark plug wires

  3. Usually cars crank but not turn over so I'm confused? ..

it could be your starter, or you may need a new ignition.

Call or Take it to the Dealer, they'll know more.

  4. Turn over but will not crank, what do you mean, crank and turn over means the same thing.

  5. Allow me to be the first "guy"  Engines need three things to start  Fuel, spark and compression.  If you're sure you have adequate gas in the tank, then the fuel issue may not be relevant.  Yo can have too much fuel thereby flooding the engine to prevent it from starting, but waiting 30 minutes and re-trying usually solves that problem.  No spark is most easily detected by the fact that on most cars that have a tachometer, if the tach needle doesn't wobble a little off the zero peg during startup, then you likely will have an ignition problem.  If you're engine has a lot of miles on it(like 150k or more) your compression might be weakening and that will make the motor hard to start.  Doing a simimple compression test will tell you if that is the cause.  Compression failing all at once though is rare, unless a timing chain or belt has broken.
