Car hire and gas prices on Jersey Channel Islands?

Question

Hi I am off to Jersey next month for a few nights. First time visit. Would like to hire a car (can anyone recommend good hire company, usually I use europcar). Also what is the cost of petrol there per gallon/litre?

Has anyone stayed at the following hotels:

Revere

MONTEREY HOTEL

Uplands

SAMARES COAST,

BEAUSITE

SAVOY HOTEL

GOLDEN SANDS

Are there any reasonable priced restaurants or is Jersey very expensive to eat out on?

Hey, I currently am in Jersey working in the pomme d'ors sisters hotel, the merton (which is very good!!) The pomme d'or is meant to be very good from what i have heard and if i remember correctly the building was the n**i head quarters when Jersey was occupied, so is a very important historical building.

Not sure about the petrol prices though as I dont drive.
