Car hire for young drivers in UK!?

I have a british licence but have moved abroad and I am coming back for a visit in august, is there some company that will rent me a car, i am only 17 and have not been able to find anywhere

very very very unlikely. I'm 23 and I find it hard to find a company that'll let me borrow a car.

Not a chance.  With most companies you have to be at least 25. Other companies which hire to those under 25 but over 21 will also charge a higher premium for the insurance cover.
