I was wondering how much money car insurance is for a 16 year old.

Well it's going to be a lot, for a sixteen year old. If you're a boy, that makes it more expensive, and if you drive a brand new, sporty, or fast, then it's going to be even more expensive.

I know car insurance is a lot of money for people.  If possible you should probably wait to drive a car when your 25 so the insurance drops down dramatically.

Unknown, since I have no idea who is insuring your parents.  At 16 you can't have your own policy.  You have to be at least 18 to enter any financial agreement, which is what insurance is, so you will have to be added to their policy.  They can call their agent and ask.
