  1. Becomng an additonal driver will be on parents auto insurance, not BC/BS.

I can tell you for a fact, their insurance premium will rise considerably.

  2. Just go to one of the auto sites (geico, allstate, progressive, etc.) and put in your info.  You can fake the name, address, whatever, just put in your real zip code and real age (because location and age affect auto insurance prices).  This will give you a ballpark estimate.

  3. For auto insurance the obvious way to get a low quote is do a rate comparison on car policies. Make sure that you compare similar policies with the same limits, auto make, location, etc so that all things are a good comparison.

What I usually recommend is an internet comparison quote at http://www.InsureAutoNow.info since they have big name insurers and can give several quotes on car insurance polices.

  4. you should go to http://zurl.ws/U_ and get an insurance quote from about 10 different companies in your area very easily.

  5. Help yourself - you can easily check your quotes in internet, for example here: http://autoinsurance.bebto.com

As I know they have cheapest insurance policies for teens and first time drivers.

  6. First off Blue Cross/ Blue Shield is a health insurance. It is not auto insurance which is unrelated.  Your parents probably have a company such as State Farm, Farmers, All State or Geiko.  There are also more factors to figuring this out then you gave.  What is your gender? Where do you live?  Those are also factors that will have a huge impact on this.   Your best bet is to go to a site like progressive.com and provide all the information there and that will give you an estimate.

  7. It will be a lot!

  8. Damm you want a 2003 Mustang!!! Dayyym!

Here In the Uk the best you can get is a 1.4ltre hatchback and that will cost you £1000 a year!

Good luck though and yes you will get a lower quote if your parents are listed as the main drivers.

  9. As you need a mustang a lot. Maybe you should get something not so sporty as your 16? And  Blue Cross and Blue Shield do not insure cars. I hope you get a better understanding of driving than you have on insurance

  10. Blue Cross Blue Shield is not an auto insurance company, that's health insurance.
