Car insurance question! c**p...?

i got my first speeding ticket today. i was going 41 in a 30 and a conniving cop was at the bottom of this hill i was driving on and pulled me over right as i was slowing down for a stop sign. will this first ticket effect my car insurance rate? i have had my license for 2 years and have had a perfect record so far.

  1. It will go up a bit.  Not a whole bunch.  If you have a clear record, go see your local city attorney and ask that the charge be reduced to something that will not affect your license or insurance rates.  My wife just got a speeding ticket for going 46 in a 30 zone which is a $186.00 fine.  She went to see the City attorney and got it reduced to "Equipment violation"  which is also a $186.00 fine but is not charged against her driving record or her insurance, Attorney admitted that  all they are interested in is the fine money.  You do need to have an otherwise clear record for this to be possible though
