  1. Well, you can BUT  When you are driving other vehicles you are only covered Third Party.

  2. yes its legal, but it must NOT be in your name,ie,you dont own it...plus your only insured 3rd party....if its nicked/crashed then u get nowt.

  3. yes, but she has to have you as a  named driver on the policy, if you have a cheap to insure car and insure that where you can drive any car too, you will only be covered with 3rd party when you drive the other car, which is still legal

  4. yes u can do this

  5. yes course its allowed but if ur nan is the 1 insured 2 drive it and u r an extra driver and u do have a crash u r only covered 3rd party unless u say ur nan was driving

  6. If you do this the insurance will be invalid. In effect you are giving the company false information which would entitle them to refuse a claim. For this reason some insurers require details of how much second named drivers will use the car.   I could give you yards of legal. Basically insurance is unique legally, because the company is totally reliant on the customer for info. The law therefore puts the onus on the customer to be totally up front or else.......

  7. Look..... insurance companies are not silly. If they see your Nan's details and then yours and the car is a Type R, I think you'll find they'll guess what your game is. If you are down as the second driver but actually you are the only one driving it, you run the real risk of being found out for lying on your application form. If you have an accident and kill someone, you may find you are technically uninsured and, therefor, in major trouble - plus of course there is the small matter of the trouble you may cause to anyone you hit. Oh, and don't forget the trouble you would be getting your Nan into - does she deserve that?

Be sensible and don't put innocent people at risk. If you can't afford the insurance, wait until you can. Sorry to be a bore, but it's just a fact of life you need to face.

  8. It will be cheaper if she's rated #1 driver and you as a secondary.  Insurance may ask if the vehicle is stored at her residence...may have issues with that.

  9. No, it is NOT legal.  It is considered insurance fraud.

On your insurance, you are allowed to drive any car, but only for short times.  If you are keeping a car at your house, or keeping it somewhere else but driving it regularly, then it needs to be listed under your insurance policy.

Each state's laws differ on this, but it is going to be illegal one way or another, or else everyone would be doing it.

  10.     It is only legal if the car is in her name. If you get caught it will be a big mess and you will pay for it. You should take a night course in spelling.

  11. The wording is usually "any car not belonging to you"
