when I'm using the radio or the headlights in my car the abs light, low fuel light, and other random lights come on and car dies. I was thinking it might be the alternator. Not really sure though.

  1. sounds like a bad alternator to me, get it replaced and recharge the battery.

  2. You are most likely correct.  That sounds like the symptoms of a dying alternator.  As far as car problems go, that is a reletively cheap and easy fix.

  3. its a bad altenator.you are running on battery power only.when you turn the lights on there is not enough power in the battery to run the car.replace the altenator.

  4. in my experience with cars it sounds like the batery cells might be dry and not giving the corect voltage out. or your fan belt may be worn and not charging it properly. or the worst thing it could be is the alternator could be on its way out but it sounds more like the batery cus when you are using no lights or other electrics it is getting a little charge enough to start the engine well i think any way from your explanation. tje best thing you can do is to take it to a car repair shop and ask them to test them. but do not buy thebroken part from them look on web for parts you will save a fortune.goodluck

  5. Sounds the same to me.

  6. NEW battery also check sparks!

  7. I agree most likely alternator! But i would check the battery too! Most part stores will check these free of charge for you!
