So i bought a car 3 weeks ago and found out the plates are wrong (ends in N rather than M), i rang the dealer up but they said in order for them to be changed they need a log book. I dont know what one looks like, and to be hoinest i cant find anything amongst the documents i was given that could be one, ive got a small green slip, im pretty sure the dealer said they were going to post the other part off, is that something to do with it? If not, does anybody know where i can get a log book from?

  1. Its the registration document, V60 i think, usually takes about a month but u will get it in the post. I would be more worried about why the plates are wrong in the first place.

  2. that stupid dealer need and slap and spanking on his bare butt, tell those stupid people that they need to change and correct it please contact the dealer association and consumer reporting agency and try to revoke their license i mean their dealer ship license, these kind of idiot people don't need on this planet earth, they are just a roaches, look like human being, slap the guy and try talk to the owner

  3. The Green bit is your part of the logbook. The seller sends the other part off and the DVLA change the documents to your details, takes about 2-3weeks and you will receive it in the post.

  4. Contact the DVLA in Swansea.  They will have the record of the log book and will be responsible for issuing you with the new one now that you have purchased the car.  if you havent received it i suggest you call them as a matter of priority!

  5. the green piece of paper that the dealership are sending the bottom part of is the log book

  6. the small green strip is part of your log book with basic details of the car the dealer should have sent the rest to dvla swansea you will get the log book through the post can take 4 to 6 weeks

  7. Your little green slip is part of the log book (registration document) and the dealer should have sent the other part away to register you as the new keeper of the car. You should get the  full documents through the post soon. Usually takes about 4-6 weeks
