My brother once reversed a Volvo out of his workshop while I was watching out for him - as it passed by me I saw the name OVLOV going by!

Ever since then, they've always been OVLOVs to me!!

Derek "Blaster" Bates famously drove around Cheshire in a brush painted van - painted with a pot of mixed up left overs - It came out a weird khaki brown sort of colour.  The locals christened it "The Flying Shite" and that's a true story!!

My Dad had an old van when we were kids, and for some reason we called it the 'Jungle Bus'.

My Gran's neighbour used to have an old Austin that he named 'Yogi' though I don't know why.

To date we have had a Myrtle (an old Viva, don't now how it got that name!), Dolly(Dolomite), Mitzy(Mitsibushi), The Pig (Ford Reg. PYG a pig by a pig by nature!), Piggot (Peugeot), Mazzy (Mazda)The Beast and currently Big Red (the last 2  being Volvo) and a friend of ours has a mk2 cortina called Tina and an Audi called Howdo!!

Depends on the car really, when was kids me and my sister called my dad old cavalier "The Magic Dragon" because the number plate ended in PUF

Depends on the car. I have kids and they name them for me.

My Renault Megane Scenic became Megan.

My Peugeot 106 became Herby (due to it's whining horn)

My in-laws Citroen Xsara Picasso was called Pablo.

My dad had a volvo and we named (well i named) it Vulvi and then when he sold it and got a saab we still call it vulvi.
