I have recently had my battery disconnected while doing some minor maintenance work. Since then when i first start the car the revs die down to where the car nearly stalls and then picks back up to 1k. Also while driving the car seems lot more juddery. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

Any help appreciated

  1. sounds like the throttle position sensor or the idle air control sensor.

  2. It may help if you mention what year and model car you have...

  3. I would suggest vacuum lines, my firebird used to do the same thing until I found a giant hole in a vacuum line coming out of the intake manifold.  Check online for methods for checking your lines and if you find one either re-run the line or put a segment of path line in.

Though I'm not sure about the exact specs for your car, im sure this will help.
