  1. It may have an on board diagnostic, but the new testers won't read it. Look in Chiltons auto repair at the public library to see how to get it to give up the trouble codes- maybe the check engine light will blink a certain pattern to signal the problem after you do a special little "jig" first.

My gut feeling is that your cambelt slipped and now the valves and ignition are out of time. Don't keep trying to start it. If that's the problem, it will get worse. You could use a timing light and see where the mark is. If the timing is still right then I guessed wrong. If the timing is suddenly off , you probably need a new timing belt. This is a big job. Pay the $200 to have it done right.

  2. when you let the key go from trying to start does it stop in the ignition on position or turn all the way to the key out position if it stops in the right spot (ignition on) then the switch could be bad.but if your saying that in order to keep the car running you have to be cranking it could be another thing altogether

  3. Ignition switch is no good (the electrical part).

  4. go to goolge and search for a integra forum and join it. youll get a lot more help there.
