Car problems with a 2001 dodge caravan?

Question

I have a 2001 dodge caravan, and the window on the passengers side wont go up, i tried the button on the passnegers side and it wont go up, and i tried the button that conrols the passengers side on the drivers side bu that wont work, and i am going on vacation tomrow and i need that window to be up, does anybody know what i can do?

beat on the inside of the door while pushing the up switch you can usually get it up another time or two.

I have the same prob. with my caravan I have to turn the car off for a min then turn back and try to get the window up sometimes it goes all the way up sometimes I have to keep trying but it eventually goes up. I wonder if there was a recall I have a 2001 caravan too mine is a sport. goodluck

For a temporary fix you can hit the area where the window motor on the door with your fist and this may seat the brushes in the old window motor to cause it  to operate. It sounds like the old motor is on it's last leg. This MAY help....

THE WINDOW LIFT MOTOR COULD HAVE GONE OUT. THEY CAN BE PURCHASED AT MOST PARTS STORES BUT THEY COULD BE TRICKY TO PUT IN. YOU HAVE TO TAKE OF THE DOOR PANEL TO REPLACE THIS AND IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL TAKING OFF THE PANEL YOU COULD BREAK THE PLASTIC CLIPS THAT HOLD THE DOOR UP.

all you can do is have someone hold up on the window while your using the switch and see if that will help it go up,once you get it up you probably wont be able to get it back down for a while,at least until you can get it repaired,it will pull up even with a bad motor or regulator assembly but it wont be easy to do,good luck.
