Car racing set from the 1990's?

Can any one remember the name of that car racing set that was around in the early 90's. it was like a slot car racing set except the cars were steerable, the was two racing cars and a pace car that you could drive along side blocking your opponent from passing you, it was sold in most major department stores and sold for around $150.00 (AUS)

I had a slotless thrack like you describe.  With the blocking car as well.

It was called TCR, Total Control Racing.
