Car radio calculator?

I just download the philips car400 calaculator and was wondering how to use it. For example if i put in GM0400S1025268 then hit enter data it asks for a hex number but i don't no what i got to put in there

  1. The application that you have is to convert a hexadecimal code downloaded from the eeprom inside the radio.

    What you need is:

    Eeprom programmer.

    Computer Cable . None modem type.

    An application called PonyProg.

    A soldering Iron

    A solder sucker.

    You have to take the eeprom out of the radio.  Then put it into your eeprom programmer.

    This is a big job.  I would just pay £15 and get it done in a shop.  I know how to do it and i still would not bother.

    Or ring the dealer that the car came from they often have the codes on file.
