Alright, i have a problem. i had a radio that i thought was cheezin on me. i hit a bump in the road, the sound cuts off. hit another bump, sounds comes back in. back and forth, very annoying. i thought the radio was going bad(cheap from ebay), so i went and got another one.

hooked it up, it worked. then i hit a bump. BAM. sounds cuts out, bump, sounds cuts back in. etc. same problem with last radio.

so i opened up my dash blah blah. worked with the connecters. respliced the speaker wires. still same problem. i played with the cars harness connectors. i unplug the rear speakers, and front speakers put out sound. replug the rear speakers in, all sound goes out. i can find a sweet spot for the rear speaker connectors for all speakers to play. but when i plug all the way, no sound at all.

anyone got any suggestions on to fix problem?

  1. Sounds like the rear speakers may be grounding out. How do you have them hooked up? Straight to the radio or do you have an amp hooked up? If they are on the radio you can either splice into the rear wires or run a new wire  and see what happens. If it is connected to an amp check for shortages in the wire. On both make sure their are no wires touching the chasis of the car.
