Question:

Car registration in purse?

i just got a car...got all my stuff registration insurance etc...i was told to always carry the registration and all that good stuff (duh) i understoof to always have it in my purse with me for example when i am driving my car...but now my friend said that i am supposed to leave it in my car at all times...umm...this might sound dumb...but i truly dont know

so where exactly are you supposed to always have your registration and all those papers?

    If the cop stops a thief, the lack of registration is a strong indicator there's something wrong.

    Many people leave it in the car so they don't forget.  But if the car ever got stolen, you are also giving the thief help in getting away.

  3. Depends on where you live. The insurance needs to be with the car when ever you're driving it. If you're the only driver then yes you can keep it in your purse. Leaving it in the car does nothing for a thief as a cop will also ask for a drivers license. When they don't match, voila. In the State of Texas you DO NOT have to carry registration except in a commercial vehicle. All the info is available to them on the computer. I'm sure the other states will catch up with the world wide web someday.
