If i have a number plate, can i find out what area the car is currently registered in. I tried the DVLA but they will only tell me where the car was originally registered, i need to find out where it is registered now. Any ideas?

  1. have you any friends in the police force who can run a pnc check for you, just a thought

  2. No, you cannot, I'm afraid.  DVLA will release details of keeper, address etc if you can prove your need to have them, on application by you on their form with a fee.  They will not disclose for "social" reasons.  All down to the dear old Data Protection Act, and rightly so.

  3. is it a private plate? if it is a standard issue then you can only find out where it originates.  if it is a private plate then i am afraid you can not find out any info on it other than its estimated value.
